Before connecting your Pocket Card Terminal, download and activate the Viva.com Terminal app on your mobile device. ​

Make sure your mobile device meets the following requirements:

- Bluetooth: Version 4.2 or later.
- Android: Version 8.1 or later.

You can pair your Pocket Card Terminal during the initial setup of the Viva.com Terminal app or after completing the setup. ​

Follow the pairing instructions for your preferred connection method below.

1. Open the Viva.com Terminal app.
2. Select Set up a device.
3. Choose Pocket Card Terminal.
4. Follow the pairing instructions for your preferred connection method below.

If you selected Skip and set up later during installation:

1. Open the Viva.com Terminal app.
2. Go to More &gt; Card Readers.
3. Select Pocket Card Terminal.
4. Follow the pairing instructions below.

Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device.

Turn on your Pocket Card Terminal by pressing and holding the Power button until the screen turns on.

In the Viva.com Terminal app, select Pocket Card Terminal.

Choose Bluetooth as the connection method.

Select your terminal from the list of available devices.

Confirm that the serial number (S/N) matches the number printed on the lower-left side of the back of your Pocket Card Terminal.

Select Pair twice to confirm the pairing request.

Press the green confirmation button on your Pocket Card Terminal to complete the pairing.

4. Choose Bluetooth as the connection method.
5. Select your terminal from the list of available devices.

7. Select Pair twice to confirm the pairing request.
8. Press the green confirmation button on your Pocket Card Terminal to complete the pairing.

Once pairing is complete, the terminal may require a software update. Wait for any updates to finish before using the device.

Choose USB as the connection method.

Connect your Pocket Card Terminal to your mobile device using a USB cable.

Wait for the Viva.com Terminal app to detect the terminal.

Confirm that the serial number (S/N) displayed in the app matches the number printed on the lower-left side of the back of your Pocket Card Terminal.

1. In the Viva.com Terminal app, select Pocket Card Terminal.
2. Choose USB as the connection method.
3. Connect your Pocket Card Terminal to your mobile device using a USB cable.
4. Wait for the Viva.com Terminal app to detect the terminal.
5. Confirm that the serial number (S/N) displayed in the app matches the number printed on the lower-left side of the back of your Pocket Card Terminal.

Once the connection is complete, your Pocket Card Terminal is ready to use.
