  • Can I have a Viva.com account without having an IBAN?

Yes, you can have a fully functional Viva.com account without an IBAN designator. Your account will support outgoing bank transfers, and you can still transfer money through your accounts as normal.

  • What are the benefits of having an IBAN?

Having an IBAN designator (Account number and sort code) allows you to receive incoming transfers from external accounts.

  • Does the charge apply to the account or per IBAN?

The charge applies per IBAN. A merchant can have more than one IBAN associated with their account.

  • Can I request an IBAN if I haven’t applied until now?

On 1/7/2024, customers who have not requested an IBAN will receive a notification on their account UI informing them about the deactivation of their IBANs and the possibility to activate one along with an account number and sort code.

  • Will a merchant be able to deactivate the IBAN subscription?

Yes, a merchant will be able to deactivate the IBAN subscription, and it will take effect at the end of the billing period.

  • How can I make a request for an IBAN?

A merchant will be able to make a request from the Main page of their viva.com account. Only the admin of the account can make the request.

  • How will I be notified about my IBAN request?

The reply will be visible on the notification feed of the viva.com account dashboard.

  • When will the IBAN, account number and sort code, be charged?

The IBAN will be charged at the end of each month. (Monthly charge: £10.00)

  • How will the IBAN be charged?

The amount will be deducted from your account
