The Viva.com Terminal app allows you to accept payments using your Ciontek, Sunmi or PAX A8900 card terminal, as well as a compatible Android or iOS smartphone or tablet.
Follow the steps below to activate the Viva.com Terminal app on your device and connect it to your Viva.com account.
Before you start
Make sure the Viva.com Terminal app is installed on your device. If it isn't already installed, download it from your device's app store.
When you open the app for the first time, you'll see a welcome screen with information about Tap on Phone.
Choose how to activate the app
You can activate the Viva.com Terminal app in three ways. Choose one of the following methods and follow its instructions.
By clicking Create Account you will be redirected to the beginning of the account creation proccess. You can follow the steps on the viva.com account registration process described on our article here.

1. Sign in with your Viva.com account
Enter your viva.com account credentials
Select the account you want to activate your terminal

2. Activate using a device code
Choose Activate using a device code on your terminal. A unique code will appear on the screen.

You can enter this code in either of the following ways:
From your Viva.com account in a browser:
Sign in to your Viva.com account.
Go to Sales → In-store Payments → Terminals → + New Terminal.
Enter the device code shown on your terminal.
From the Viva.com app:
Open the Viva.com app.
Go to Settings → Activate Viva.com Terminal.
Enter the device code shown on your terminal.

If you're an employee: Share the device code with your account Admin, who can activate the terminal through the Viva.com account or the Viva.com app.
3. Activate directly through the Viva.com app

When clicking Launch Viva.com app, you will then be taken to Viva.com banking application , where you can log in to your Viva account
Once you've activated the app using one of these methods, continue with the steps below.
Complete the app setup
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setting up your Viva.com Terminal.
Allow app permissions

Grant the requested permissions for location, storage and notifications.
You can also set up a device PIN now or choose to do this later.
Choose your payment methods
Select the payment methods you want to use. Depending on the available options, these may include:
Tap to Pay — already enabled.
External card reader — connect a reader such as the Mini Card Reader (optional).
